1. WiFi Network Information (Both Versions):

SSID (Network Name): Including hidden networks (displayed as "[Hidden Network]")
BSSID (MAC Address): Unique identifier for access points
Signal Strength: Measured in dBm for signal quality analysis
Frequency & Channel: Radio frequency and WiFi channel information
Security Type: Encryption protocols (WPA2, WPA3, Open, etc.)
Manufacturer Information: Device manufacturer identified from MAC address prefix (OUI database)

2. Location Information (Both Versions):

GPS coordinates and location data are collected exclusively for associating WiFi networks with their physical locations. This data is processed locally on your device and never transmitted to external servers.

Purpose: Associate discovered networks with geographic coordinates
Storage: All location data stored locally in device's secure app sandbox
Precision: Lite version uses standard GPS precision, Pro allows configurable precision
Retention: Data persists until manually deleted by user or app uninstalled
Sharing: Only shared when user explicitly exports data via app functions

Enhanced Address Resolution: Pro version attempts to resolve GPS coordinates to physical addresses using device's geocoding capabilities
Extended Data Retention: Pro removes the 100-network storage limit, allowing potentially larger datasets
Background Data Collection: Pro version can collect WiFi data in background via foreground service
Advanced Export Metadata: Pro exports include additional metadata like GPS accuracy, address sources, and enhanced timestamps
Session Tracking: Pro version organizes scans into sessions with metadata for professional workflow management
Cache Systems: Pro uses smart caching (1000-address geocoding cache) to improve performance
External API Integration: Pro may use Google Maps API for enhanced mapping (with encrypted communications)

3. External API Communications (Pro Version Only):

SSIDHunt Pro includes optional integration with external mapping services. When Google Maps integration is enabled, limited location data may be transmitted to Google's servers solely for map rendering purposes.

User Control: Google Maps integration is optional and can be disabled
Data Minimization: Only GPS coordinates sent to Google for map rendering, no WiFi network data
No Data Retention: Google receives only coordinates needed for current map view
Encryption: All API communications use HTTPS encryption
Alternative Options: Users can choose Mapbox integration or choose to use a Google API key.
Third-Party Privacy: Google's use of location data is governed by their privacy policy
